Our Vision In Action
Broad Town C of E Primary School is extremely proud to be an active and caring member of our local community. Our dedicated staff are committed to ensuring the best possible educational experience for every child in our care, regardless of whether they come from a Christian background, a different religious background or a background of no religion at all. At Broad Town, we strive to achieve ‘a bright future for all’.
Here are some examples of our vision in action.
Assembly in the Forest
We held a lovely assembly in our wooded area. It was a peaceful place where we were encouraged to reflect on our beautiful world and our place within it.
Reverse Advent Calendars
In December 2019, Class 1 asked to have a 'reverse advent calendar' and create hampers for a local homeless charity, Swindon Night Shelter. It has now become a bit of a tradition! Each year, all of the classes make a hamper for their chosen charity. Over the years, these have included Swindon Night Shelter, the Salvation Army's Toy Appeal and Oak and Furrows Wildlife Centre.
Class 1 sign their Christmas song.
In Term 2 2020, Class 1 learned about sign language and learned to sign All I Want For Christmas.
