Our First Week at School

What a wonderful first week we have had in Class 1! We are incredibly proud of how well our Reception children have settled into their new classroom and how our Year 1 children have returned to school, showing kindness and being excellent role models.

This week, we have been learning about emotions through the story The Colour Monster Goes to School, enjoying lots of story time and discussions together. We created our own colourful Colour Monster collages and worked together to make a handprint Class Charter, thinking about how we can make our classroom a happy and caring place for everyone.

During Forest Friday, we explored the natural environment around us on a scavenger hunt, created pictures using natural materials, and even picked some blackberries. It has been a fantastic start to the year, and we are excited for all the learning adventures to come!
